| Obverse description | Abstract Celtic wreath motif rendered in angled segments with stylised inverted leaves arranged around the central field. Characteristic 'bear's paw' hair-lock pellet clusters occupy the surrounding areas, a hallmark device of Dobunnic coinage. A multi-spoked wheel occupies a prominent position within the design, executed in the typically schematic Iron Age manner. The entire composition is contained within a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | A stylised Celtic horse advances to the right, its body rendered in characteristic Iron Age abstract form with a beaded mane articulated as a series of pellets along the neck. A ringpole or 'antenna' device protrudes from the chest of the horse, a diagnostic feature of this Dobunnic quarter stater type. Above the horse, a solar anemone motif and a ringed pellet occupy the upper field. Below the horse, a prominent seven-spoked wheel serves as the primary ground element, giving the type its distinctive 'two wheels' appellation. |
