Beschrijving voorzijde Plain convex gold flan bearing a recessed rectangular tablet or panel in the centre of the field, within which the abbreviated Latin legend COMF is incised in bold, irregular Celtic lettering — an abbreviation for Commii Filius, meaning 'Son of Commius', asserting the dynastic lineage of Tincomarus. The flan is characteristically lumpy and irregular, as is typical of late Iron Age British quarter staters struck by the Atrebates. No figural imagery appears on this face; the entire design is devoted to the epigraphic declaration within its framed tablet.

Beschrijving keerzijde A stylised horse prances to the left, rendered in the flowing, abstracted Celtic artistic tradition characteristic of Atrebatic coinage. The horse's body is depicted with rounded, pellet-like joints and a boldly curved neck, occupying the majority of the flan. Above the horse, the divided inscription TI C appears in Latin lettering — an abbreviation of the issuing ruler's name, Tincomarus — with one element placed above the horse's back and the other below or to the side. The composition fills the irregular, slightly convex flan with minimal negative field space, consistent with the tight design conventions of British Iron Age quarter staters.
