附加信息	Tincomarus was the son of Commius, the Atrebatic king who had served as Caesar's envoy during the Gallic campaigns before spectacularly defecting and leading guerrilla resistance against Rome — making his son's later coinage, which increasingly mimics Roman republican and Augustan types, one of the more politically loaded numismatic shifts in British pre-Roman history. This spiral type represents an earlier phase of Tincomarus's rule, before that Romanization became overt. He was eventually expelled, possibly by his brother Eppillus, and is recorded as a suppliant at Augustus's court — a detail preserved in the Res Gestae.
