| Obverse description | Highly stylised Celtic design composed of two plain open crescents positioned at the centre of a cruciform arrangement of crossed wreath-like branches, the whole field divided into quadrants by the intersecting decorative arms. The rendering is characteristically abstract, derived from a degenerate laureate head prototype, with the crescents retaining vestigial facial symbolism. The irregular flan exhibits the characteristically uneven surface typical of hammered Celtic coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | A stylised horse rendered in typical late Celtic insular manner, advancing to the left, its body formed of curved and linear elements with limbs indicated by short strokes. Above the horse's back appears a prominent petalled or rayed moon symbol, rendered as a multi-petalled rosette or wheel motif. Below the horse is a floral or rosette sun symbol composed of radiating petals, with additional pellets and curvilinear ornaments filling the field, characteristic of the abstract decorative vocabulary of the Atrebatic coinage tradition. |
