A prominent four-spoked wheel, enclosed within a circular border, is positioned in front of the horse in the right field, serving as a solar or divine symbol. Below the horse, a floral or rosette sun motif is visible, composed of curved petals or scroll elements arranged radially. Additional annulet and pellet ornaments are scattered across the field. The reverse is entirely without inscription, consistent with the uninscribed Danebury series attributed to the Atrebates and Regini. |

The Danebury Cogwheel type takes its name from the Iron Age hillfort in Hampshire where several examples have been recovered, a site that had largely ceased as a major settlement by the time these coins were struck — suggesting they entered the ground as votive deposits or through post-occupation activity rather than everyday loss. The Atrebates maintained close ties with Gaulish tribes of the same name across the Channel, and Julius Caesar's campaigns in Gaul during this precise decade disrupted those networks, likely accelerating the development of distinct southern British coinage traditions.
ABC 794 is a scarce variety within an already thinly documented series.
