Reverse description A segmented horse rendered in the characteristic Celtic abstract idiom moves to the right, its body divided into discrete geometric sections. The mane is indicated by a row of pellets, and the tail is rendered as a double-stranded sweep. A ringed pellet occupies the field below the horse's body. Above the horse appears a distinctive bulbous onion-like motif composed of concentric or layered crescentic elements, which gives this type its conventional name.
