| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device depicts the Genoese city gate (castello) set within a polylobed frame decorated with alternating trefoils and rosettes, all enclosed by a beaded or reeded circle. The surrounding legend, rendered in Gothic uncial characters, identifies the doge as the sixth of Genoa and terminates with the mint master's initial.
