Obverse description Right-facing bust of Swiss General Henri Guisan in military uniform and peaked cap adorned with laurel leaves, in high relief. The legend arcs around the left and upper perimeter reading GENERAL HENRI GUISAN and WELTKRIEG 1939-45, with the birth and death dates 1874 and 1960 flanking the portrait in the field. The engraver's signature H. DEMPFAUER appears at the lower rim.
