Obverse description Irregular hammered copper flan bearing bold Arabic calligraphy in the central field. The word 'Allah' is prominently rendered in large characters occupying the centre, surrounded by additional Arabic legends disposed in three lines. The script is executed in a characteristically angular Bahmani style, with deeply struck strokes typical of medieval Deccan hammered coinage. The field shows the uneven texture consistent with hand-struck production.
