| Beschrijving voorzijde | Highly stylized and degenerate derivative of the Sasanian royal bust type, struck in the Gadhaiya tradition. The central field displays a schematically rendered facing or three-quarter bust derived from the Chalukya-Gurjara prototype, with a prominent pellet eye, a simplified fire-altar motif below, and flanking attendant figures reduced to abstract linear forms. The design is executed in bold relief with deeply cut but stylized strokes characteristic of the Paramara mint style. The field is plain, and the rim is irregular due to the flan preparation method. The Devanagari character 'ज' (ja) appears as an issuer's mark within the design field. |
