Reverse description The reverse displays a heavily stylized and degenerate fire altar motif, reduced to a series of diagonal and parallel incuse-like strokes distributed across the entire field in a loose geometric arrangement. The design, derived from the Sasanian fire altar with attendants, has been abstracted to near illegibility through generations of die copying, a hallmark of late Indo-Sassanian derivative coinage. No clear legend or inscription is discernible; the surface shows traces of green patina consistent with copper oxidation.
