| Beschrijving voorzijde | Highly stylized Indo-Sassanian bust of the king facing right, rendered in the late Gadhaiya degenerate tradition wherein the original Sasanian royal portrait has been reduced to schematic geometric forms. A prominent large earring or ear ornament is depicted to the left of the bust. The effigy is surrounded by a dotted border, with further decorative pellets and scroll elements filling the field, characteristic of the late medieval Indian imitative coinage derived from Chaulukya-period prototypes. |
