Reverse description A tall commemorative monument in high relief occupies the centre of the field, decorated with a medallion and flanked by laurel branches. Six battle names with their dates are arranged symmetrically on either side of the monument in the field. The exergue bears a two-line inscription recording the Siege of Paris 1870–1871.
