Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse features a colorized photographic-style bust of Emperor Franz Joseph I in military uniform adorned with decorations and a red sash, set against a gilt field. To the right, an allegorical female figure in relief holds a laurel wreath above the imperial coat of arms. The circular Latin legend runs along the inner border.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse is divided into two registers on a mirror-polished gilt field. The upper register depicts two reclining allegorical figures flanking a central medallion with a portrait bust of Franz Joseph I in relief, below the legend. The lower register displays the Imperial Crown of Austria set with red and blue crystals, flanked by elaborate oak leaf and acanthus scroll ornaments, above a crowned imperial cipher.
