Reverse description Aniconic field displaying a four-line Arabic inscription within a single inner circle, naming the governor Tahir ibn Muhammad al-Tamimi and providing the mint and date formula. The central field contains the lines arranged horizontally in the typical Abbasid-derived format. The marginal legend band surrounding the inner circle carries the Basmala and the mint-and-date formula stating the coin was struck at Sijistan in the year 355 AH. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, consistent with hammered fractional gold coinage of the Saffarid period.
