Reverse description Multiple horizontal registers of Arabic Kufic script fill the entire reverse field, continuing the religious and dynastic legends characteristic of Abbadid taifa fractional dinars. The inscription is densely packed across four lines, with individual characters displaying the upright, angular style of 11th-century Andalusian epigraphy. The marginal border, partially visible around the circumference, consists of a fine beaded or rope-like decorative ring. Minor striking weakness is evident toward the periphery, a common feature of hammered fractional gold of this series. No mint name or date is legible, consistent with other known specimens of this type.
