Reverse description Within an inner beaded circle, a short cross pattée occupies the central field, with a small annulet adorning each of the four terminals and a pellet positioned in each quadrant between the arms. The bold peripheral legend reads BOAMVNDVS, identifying the issuing prince Bohemond III, preceded by a six-pointed star serving as an initial mark. The design is characteristic of the Crusader hammered coinage tradition of the Principality of Antioch.
