| Obverse description | Radiate, cuirassed bust of Maximianus facing right, depicted with close-cropped hair and beard in the military style typical of the Tetrarchic period. The emperor wears a radiate crown with seven points and segmented cuirass visible at the shoulder. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Latin capitals, reading from the lower left. The portrait reflects the standardised, bold sculptural style characteristic of Diocletianic-era coinage from the Antioch mint. |
