Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Galerius facing right, rendered in the late Roman tetrarchic style with bold, angular features. The radiate crown is clearly visible with multiple points projecting from the diadem. The cuirass is elaborately detailed, with paludamentum draped over the left shoulder. The encircling legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristically severe and stylized treatment typical of Diocletianic-era imperial coinage.
