| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Theodosius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The pearl diadem is visible atop the head, and the paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder, with the cuirass beneath. The encircling Latin legend reads D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG, positioned along the outer border of the coin field. The portrait displays the stylized yet authoritative facial treatment typical of late fourth-century Roman bronze coinage. |

| Reverse description | The emperor stands facing right in military attire, holding a labarum (imperial standard) in his right hand and resting his left hand upon a shield; at his feet to the right kneels a captive figure, symbolizing Roman military dominance. The encircling legend VIRTVS EXERCITI runs along the periphery of the coin field. The mint mark SMKB appears in the exergue, identifying this as a product of the second officina (workshop) of the Cyzicus mint. The composition evokes the imperial virtus theme common to late Roman bronze coinage of the Theodosian dynasty. |
