Obverse description Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator within a dotted border, depicted with a cruciform nimbus adorned with pellets at the terminals. The face is rendered in a stylized Byzantine manner with a short beard and elongated features. The bust is shown draped, with the right hand raised in benediction and the left hand holding the Gospels, consistent with standard Crusader imitative coinage of the period. The inscription IC XC (an abbreviated form of the Greek IHCOYC Xpictoc, Jesus Christ) flanks the bust to left and right in the field.
