Reverse description Large denomination mark M (40 nummi) dominates the centre of the field, with a small figure standing at the base of the M, likely representing a regnal or officina indicator. To the left of the M appears the regnal year notation, and to the right the officina letter A (first officina). Above the M, the Cyrillic-style crossbar or cross finial is visible. The field is heavily worn with granular surface texture typical of late hammered Byzantine copper coinage. The reverse layout follows the standard Constantinople follis format of the period, with year and officina flanking the large M.
