Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus facing right, wearing a paludamentum (imperial military cloak) draped over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the robust, realistic Tetrarchic style characteristic of Diocletianic-era coinage. The circumferential legend reads IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, distributed around the bust within a plain border. The portrait conveys imperial authority with a strong jaw and prominent facial features typical of the period.
