Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Magnentius facing right, rendered in a crude barbarous style characteristic of unofficial imitative coinage. The portrait retains the general physiognomy of the prototype — short hair, strong jaw, and visible paludamentum — but the die-cutting is coarse and schematic. A blundered Latin legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, partially legible as a corruption of DN MAGNENTIVS PF AVG. The overall execution reflects the work of an unofficial engraver copying an official Magnentian follis at reduced fabric.

Obverse lettering Blundered: DN MAGNENTIVS PF AVG
(Translation: Dominus Noster Magnentius Pius Felix Augustus (Our Lord Magnentius pious fortunate August))
Reverse description Two winged Victories standing facing one another, each holding a large wreath jointly between them; the column present on official issues is notably absent in this barbarous variant. The central wreath encloses a blundered votive inscription. The figures are rendered in a debased, schematic manner with details of drapery and wings only summarily indicated. A partially legible blundered legend surrounds the design within a beaded border, derived from the official VICTORIAE DD NN AVG ET CAES type. No mint mark or exergue inscription is present.
