In her extended left hand she holds a Nicephorus — a globus surmounted by a Victory figure — while her right hand grasps a tall scepter. Her left foot rests upon the prow of a ship (rostrum), a device symbolizing naval dominion and the city's maritime prestige. The legend CONCORDIA AVGG encircles the type, expressing the concordance of the Augusti, and the mint mark appears in the exergue below. |
