Obverse description Helmeted, diademed, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Honorius facing right, depicted in full military attire consistent with late Roman imperial iconography. A spear is carried over the right shoulder, while the left arm supports a large decorated shield bearing a relief equestrian scene of a mounted horseman triumphing over a fallen enemy, a motif known as the imperial adventus type. The effigy conveys martial authority in the manner characteristic of the Theodosian dynastic coinage. The encircling obverse legend reads DN HONORIVS PF AVG.
