With his left hand he raises and drags a kneeling captive barbarian by the hair; the captive crouches at lower left in a posture of submission. A field mark appears to the left of the emperor's figure and a mintmark is placed in the exergue. The circumferential legend GLORIA ROMANORVM encircles the scene, proclaiming the glory of the Romans. |
