Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Galerius (here styled as Caesar Maximianus) facing right, rendered with strong portraiture typical of the Tetrarchic period. The emperor's effigy displays a close-cropped beard, prominent features, and a laurel wreath with clearly defined leaves. The cuirass is visible at the truncation, adorned with strap detailing. The encircling Latin legend reads MAXIMIANVS NOB C, identifying him as Nobilissimus Caesar.
