| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large cursive-style M occupying the central field, executed in a rounded, Arabic-influenced hand distinct from standard Byzantine M-marks. A star or pellet appears above the M, flanked by additional decorative symbols or pseudo-Greek characters in the side fields. Below the M, a short horizontal exergual line is faintly visible. The overall design derives from Byzantine follis prototypes but is rendered in a distinctly provincial and simplified manner consistent with early Arab-Byzantine imitative issues. The flan is irregular with uneven striking. |
