| Beschrijving voorzijde | Frontal facing bust of an imperial effigy, identified as possibly Constans II, diademed with a cross surmounting the diadem, draped in paludamentum over cuirass. The figure holds a globus cruciger in the right hand. To the left of the bust appears the Greek inscription ΚΑΛΟΝ ('Good'), while to the right descends the Arabic legend بحمص ('Emesa'), identifying the Hims mint. The style reflects the transitional Arab-Byzantine coinage tradition, retaining Byzantine imperial iconography under early Umayyad administration. |
