Obverse description Right-facing bust of Constantius II, depicted pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial tradition. The effigy displays the emperor in three-quarter view with visible paludamentum folds over the cuirass. The encircling obverse legend reads CONSTANTIVS AVG, distributed around the bust in the field. The portrait exhibits the stylized, somewhat rigid engraving characteristic of Alexandrian mint production of the early 340s.
