Reverse description A helmeted Roman soldier strides to the left, thrusting a spear downward into a fallen enemy horseman who lies beneath him; the horseman, depicted as a barbarian, raises one arm in a gesture of supplication while his horse collapses to the ground. The soldier carries a shield on his left arm. The mint mark appears in the exergue, with the officina letter forming part of the exergual inscription. The reverse legend encircles the scene, and a beaded border frames the entire composition.
