Reverse description Two helmeted and cloaked soldiers stand facing one another, each grasping a reversed spear in the outer hand while the inner hand rests upon a grounded shield. Two military standards are placed between the figures, their distinctive finials rising above. A pellet appears in the left field. The mint mark is inscribed in the exergue, denoting the officina of issue at Heraclea. The reverse legend proclaims the glory of the Roman army.
