| Beschrijving keerzijde | Barbarous imitation of the GLORIA EXERCITVS reverse type, depicting two schematically rendered soldiers standing facing one another, each holding a spear and resting a hand on a shield set on the ground. Between the two figures stands a single military standard, consistent with the later single-standard variant of this type introduced after 337. The surrounding legend imitating GLORIA EXERCITVS is partially legible but crudely executed. The overall composition, while clearly derived from official Constantinian prototypes struck at Lugdunum or Treveri, is rendered in a degenerate, flat style typical of barbarous imitations of the period. |
