| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two helmeted soldiers in military dress stand facing one another, each holding a reversed spear and resting an inner hand upon a large oval shield; between them rises a single legionary standard surmounted by a stele finial, a compositional variant of the GLORIA EXERCITVS type introduced after 341 AD. The reverse legend GLORIA EXERCITVS, meaning "Glory of the Army," arcs across the upper field. The mint mark SMKΔ appears in the exergue, denoting the Sacred Mint of Cyzicus, fourth officina. A crescent symbol is also noted in the field as an additional control mark. |
