The flan is notably irregular in shape, and the strike is characteristically flat and uneven, consistent with hammered copper issues of this period. |

The decoration is entirely non-legible and of purely ornamental character, derived from Islamic coin prototypes circulating in the region during the 12th century. The irregular flan and crude hammered workmanship are fully characteristic of Béla III copper folles. |
