| Opis rewersu | A bold Latin cross pattee occupies the central field, its base issuing from a pair of curved foliate tendrils that extend symmetrically into the lower two quadrants, a distinctive decorative motif of Edessene Crusader coinage. Each of the four quadrants is adorned with pellets arranged in triangular groupings, and additional pellets ornament the arms of the cross itself. The design is enclosed within a plain inner border, the overall execution reflecting the provincial hammered style of the County of Edessa workshop. |
