Obverse description Full-length frontal effigy of Count Baudouin II standing in the field, rendered in a crude Byzantine style. The count is depicted holding a long processional cross in his right hand, with his left arm extended at his side. The figure is shown with schematic drapery typical of Crusader coinage of the period. A Greek inscription naming Baudouin appears in the surrounding field, divided on either side of the figure.
