Obverse description Right-facing bust of Emperor Arcadius, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the standard late Roman imperial style. The effigy displays the characteristic stylized treatment of the period, with a beaded diadem visible across the brow and layered drapery over the cuirass. The encircling obverse legend reads D N ARCADIVS P F AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the flattened, formulaic modeling typical of late fourth-century Roman bronze coinage from the eastern mints.
