正面描述 Enthroned frontal figure of the Virgin Mary (Madonna) seated on an ornate throne, holding the Christ Child on her left arm; the composition is rendered in the late medieval Gothic style characteristic of Hungarian royal florins. The figure is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding field bearing the Latin legend. The die workmanship reflects the hammered coinage tradition of the Kremnica Mint.

附加信息

Vladislaus II — Vladislas Jagiellon, King of Bohemia before his election to the Hungarian throne in 1490 — presided over a steady erosion of royal authority that later historians would hold directly responsible for Hungary's catastrophic defeat at Mohács in 1526. The Hungarian magnates who elected him over Matthias Corvinus's illegitimate son Albert specifically chose a weak king, and he delivered. His florins were struck under increasingly fragmented monetary oversight as the treasury was progressively stripped by noble exemptions.

Hungarian gold florins of this period maintained the weight standard established under Matthias Corvinus, though fineness enforcement grew inconsistent across the minting towns of Körmöcbánya and Nagybánya.
