| Obverse description | The Madonna (Virgin Mary) enthroned and facing front, seated on a crescent moon, holding the Christ Child in her right arm in the Renaissance style. Flanking the central figure are two slender Renaissance columns each surmounted by a ball, framing the composition symmetrically. In the lower field, the Jagiellonian eagle of the Polish dynasty is depicted as a heraldic charge beneath the throne. The encircling Latin legend names the issuing sovereign and runs along the inner border of the coin's rim. |
