| Descripción del anverso | Central quartered shield bearing the cross of the bishopric of Liège and the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon arms, surmounted by a smaller inescutcheon, the whole set within a cusped trilobe with pointed Gothic trefoil terminals. The shield is rendered in fine hatched engraving typical of late medieval hammered goldsmithry. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the circumferential Latin legend. The overall composition reflects the Flemish-influenced Gothic die-cutting style prevalent in the Prince-Bishopric of Liège during the third quarter of the fifteenth century. |

The saint is vested in full pontifical regalia, wearing a mitre upon his head, holding a crozier raised over his left shoulder, and extending his right hand in the gesture of episcopal benediction. The figure stands within the coin field with no architectural canopy, the composition emphasizing the saint's spiritual authority. A beaded border frames the design, with the saint's name rendered in Gothic Latin capitals in the surrounding legend. |
