The design closely follows the Florentine prototype, reflecting the international prestige of the gold florin coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the motif, and a beaded outer border runs along the coin's rim. The circumferential Latin legend naming the king is distributed around the lily, reading partly to the left and right of the central device. The hammered flan exhibits a slightly irregular surface characteristic of medieval gold coinage. |

| Description du revers | Full-length figure of Saint John the Baptist standing facing, nimbate, depicted barefoot in a long robe, raising his right hand in a gesture of benediction and holding a tall cross in his left hand. The figure is rendered in the hieratic, frontal style typical of Angevin Hungarian florins, closely modeled on the Florentine original. A beaded inner border encircles the figure, with a beaded outer rim along the edge of the flan. The circumferential Latin legend names the saint, and the legend terminates with the Buda mint mark, rendered as a stylized crown, confirming the place of issue. |
