Obverse description Five heraldic shields arranged within a quadrilobe frame, each lobe containing one shield and a fifth shield positioned centrally at the top. The shields display the armorial bearings associated with the Lordship of Bethune and affiliated territories, including an eagle, a lion, a cross, and a lozengy field. Small decorative crosses appear at the intersections of the lobes. The surrounding field carries a Gothic Latin legend separated by stops.
