Their names arc around the upper periphery within a beaded border: FITZMAURICE to the left, KOHL at the top, and VON HUENEFELD to the right. The date 12–13. 4. 1928, recording the flight, appears in the exergue. |

| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays a front-facing view of the Junkers W 33 monoplane Bremen in low relief above stylized ocean waves, evoking the transatlantic crossing. Above the aircraft, the inscription DEN HELDEN DES ERSTEN OST-WEST FLUGES (To the heroes of the first east-west flight) fills the upper field in bold block lettering. Below the waves, the route waypoints DESSAU BALDONEL / GREENLY ISLAND / NEW YORK are inscribed, with a maker's signature and mint mark visible in the lower exergue. |
