| Obverse description | A fully armored knight on horseback gallops to the right, raising a sword aloft in his right hand; the horse is depicted in dynamic motion with legs extended. The rider bears a shield on his left arm decorated with the Visconti arms. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central equestrian device, rendered in Gothic lettering characteristic of early fifteenth-century Milanese coinage. The entire composition is set within a squared quadrilobe frame with annulets placed in the four external angles, a design convention typical of Milanese gold coinage of this period.
