| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large Ottonian monogram composed of interlaced letters forming a decorative symmetrical cipher, occupying the full field of the coin. The circular legend in uncial Latin script, divided by pellet stops, flanks the monogram to either side. The overall design references the Carolingian and Ottonian imperial tradition adopted by Lucca as a symbol of imperial legitimacy. |
