| Reverse description | The reverse is struck in intaglio within a broad flat rim. The central field bears the denomination '10 / CENT' in two lines, separated by a small lozenge ornament. Below the denomination, the mint workshop letter 'Q' (for Perpignan) appears to the right, the mint differentiator to the left, and the engraver's cursive signature 'Tiolier' at center. Note: the mintage entry records that a contemporary forgery exists bearing the cockerel differentiator of the Paris workshop in place of the wheat sheaf normally used at Perpignan. |
