| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Edward VIII occupies the central field, rendered in high relief in the naturalistic portrait style of Percy Metcalfe, whose initials P.M. appear incuse at the base of the truncation. The king is depicted with neatly combed hair and a strong profile, characteristic of Metcalfe's 1936 trial designs.
