| Reverse description | Central field features the Scottish Royal coat of arms, comprising a shield bearing the rampant lion of Scotland, surmounted by a crown with fleur-de-lis finials. The shield is flanked on each side by two flowering thistle plants, Scotland's national emblem, with additional thistles in the lower field. An olive or laurel branch wreath frames the base of the shield. The denomination legend 'ONE' arcs across the upper field and 'RYAL' is boldly inscribed along the lower rim. The word 'TRIAL' appears in small letters to the left of the shield in the field. |
